Ev'rything we do

Orca's mid-air flex
Caps watery Roman arch
Within which sits she;

Framing perfectly
Machiavellian smile
Lonesome, hopeful mask;

Ev'rything we do
Leaves some mark on the landscape
That might fade with time

Yet evoke our ghosts
In some far-away future;
Or so we dare hope...

Orca crashes down,
Splash erases heretofore;
Is my mark still there?

Very appropriate poem for my mood today! Neat statue, too!
